Fresh clean vibrant FOOD + DESIGN • almost all vegetables • latin inspired
Founded in 2015 by Sarah & Brad Gavigan as a pop-up in East Nashville, Little Octopus set out to serve fresh, clean vegetable-driven food of her 20 years in Southern California with the playful and bright flavors of the Caribbean and Latin food.
The Little Octopus, a name given to her at the age of 21 by her mentor while diving with The Cousteau Society in the British Virgin Islands because she “always had her tentacles in everybody’s business and was always changing colors.”
Now residing in the Gulch neighborhood of Nashville, the ethos remains the same. An ever-changing palate of flavors and cultures.

Who's Hanging at LO?
With an education and background in fine art and fashion design, Lela Altman began her career in the later - designing both menswear and womenswear in New York for Calvin Klein, Vivienne Tam and others. Painting was a secondary passion that slowly turned into a career after she stepped out of the fashion world to start a family in Los Angeles. Over the last year, Lela Altman has been merging the two together - fine art and fashion, preparing for a launch of her eponymous womenswear capsule collection in spring 2018. As an artist, Lela Altman is represented by the Rymer Gallery in Nashville. Her work can be found in private and corporate collections worldwide. Lela resides with her family of 2 children, one husband and 4 fluffy pets in Nashville, TN.
